16 Oct & I think it’s time for another adventure…
Well here we go again, if you only started following my blogs because you wanted to see beautiful pictures of Australia and New Zealand and have been annoyed because all I have been doing for the last year is talking about my girly feelings, then you are in luck!
Because I am headed to ICELAND this week!
Yes, Iceland. The land of ice… well not really, it’s actually very green and beautiful.
Wondering why, and how this trip came about?
Well if you haven’t heard of Groupon, I advise you start looking at it.
We booked this trip for $600. Flights, hotel and all the fun we could ever have,
wrapped up in a big parka and fuzzy boots with a bow on top.
Let’s get started on what to expect.
We leave on Saturday October, 21st from ELP and fly to Boston where we will stay the night before we leave for Iceland on the 22nd.
I say we, because this little frozen crew consists of my dad, his girlfriend Cindy, a great friend and my travel partner Alanna, and then the crazy married couple the Garlands aka Nicole and Jacob.
So our little Sixsome will be galivanting around Boston and Iceland for 10 days.
I can promise you all a few things:
I will be taking WAYYY too many pictures (find me on Instagram and snapchat)
We will be drinking WAYYY too much alcohol.
We will be eating WAYYY too much food.
And of course there will be WAYYY too much nonsense.
Here’s the scoop:
October 22nd– Depart Boston 9:30 pm, arrive Reykjavik Iceland 6:30 am
Travel time on plane approx. 5.5 hours; there is a 5 hour time difference.

October 24th– Half Day Blue Lagoon Experience 9:30 am

Next stop is the Geysir geothermal area, home of the famous Strokkur geyser. The Strokkur geyser erupts every 6-10 minutes, making it one of the most active geysers in the world. Then, on to the Gullfoss waterfall, the queen of Iceland’s waterfalls, tumbling down a deep gorge. Our final stop of the day is Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site where the tectonic plates of Europe and North America meet and one of the world’s oldest parliaments was founded in 930 AD.
October 26th– Depart Reykjavik, Iceland 5:00 pm, arrive Boston Mass. 6:35 pm
We will then stay in Boston for an additional 4 days to make the trip even more fun and because, why not?!
This trip is going to be one for the books, if you have ever been or know anyone that has been we are always looking for recommendations on things not to miss.
Also- I am kind a freaking out about being absolutely frozen the whole time so if you have clothing recommendations I have 5 days to prepare and try to stuff as much puffy coats, scarves and gloves into a suitcase.
(im not sure how well this is going to go)
Another adventure on its way…
Can’t wait to tell you all about it….
“Actually, the greatest gift you could’ve given her, was a lifetime of adventures.”
